Malibu Water Polo Camp is a “one of a kind” water polo experience coached by two of the best in the water polo world - Olympians and Current Pepperdine University coaches Terry Schroeder and Merrill Moses. We guarantee that you will learn skills that will improve your water polo game! The camp is open to any and all boys and girls ages 10-19 (one year of water polo experience suggested). Multiple sessions with overnight or day camper options are available for the summer of 2024.

OUR CAMP
CAMP STRUCTURE & SCHEDULE
At Malibu Water Polo Camp, the athletes will be divided into two groups; Field Players and Goalkeepers.
Field players will be coached by six-time Olympian Terry Schroeder. This program is very extensive and covers all aspects of the game. Since a good field player should be a “jack of all trades and a master of one” – the camp will include aspects of setting at 2 meters, posting up, (driver) offense and defense, center defender work, counter attack positioning, 6 on 5 offense and defense, shooting and much more.
Goalkeepers will be coached by three-time Olympian Merrill Moses. This program will cover everything a goalie needs to know to improve his/her game. The skills learned will include conditioning drills, body positioning, shot blocking of all types, passing and becoming the leader on defense for your team.
All campers will also have a chance to hear Coach Schroeder and Coach Moses talk about their Olympic journey and the life lessons that they have learned along the way.

Monday, Check-In at 12:30pm to Thursday (4-Day Camp) or Friday (5-Day Camp), Check-Out at 3:00pm
Schedule below is an example of a full day of camp (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Pool times are broken up into two groups (Orange and Blue Groups) for 1.5 hours of pool time for each water session so the camper to coach ratio is optimal for learning the fundamentals and tactics that are being taught.

Dr. Terry Schroeder
Two-time Olympic Head Coach, four-time Olympian and captain of back-to-back Silver Medal teams in 1984 and 1988. He coached Pepperdine to an NCAA Championship in 1997. He is considered one of the greatest coaches and players in the world.
merrill moses
Three-time Olympian and Silver Medal winner. He was named to the 2008 All World Team, and is a three-time Pan American Games Gold Medalist. He won an NCAA Championship in 1997 and was one of the MVP's of the game. He is considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

SWIMMING THROUGH LIFE
As part of their camp package, each camper will receive a copy of Coach Schroeder's new book Swimming Through Life. This book chronicles Coach Schroeder's journey with water polo from high school to the Olympic Games. The book is filled with amazing water polo stories from around the world and many of the life lessons that Coach has learned along the way. It is a one of a kind water polo book! This book will not be included for the Summer Weekend Day Camp and Holiday Weekend Day Camp.
CAMP GROUP PICTURE AND CAMP INDIVIDUAL PICTURE
Every camper will also receive a digital camp group picture emailed to them and receive an individual autographed picture with Coach Schroeder and Coach Moses with their medals.
